Why I can’t smash this fucking one dedicated key for screenshots and get a fucking image of whatever I have on the desktop into clipboard and paste it into GIMP? How fucking hard can it be? Apparently, VERY. And then there is this dude that in all seriousness says “uh oh this isn’t Windows”. I even downloaded a Screenshot tool from official repo that also did nothing (in fact it didn’t even launch).

One should NEVER have to go to a fucking support forum and ask how to make a fucking screenshot and I tried all sorts of acrobatics with all the keys along with PrtSc with no results. Still can’t get it to work and I’m absolutely baffled something as trivial as doing a fucking screenshot is so idiotically overcomplicated.Īnd then I say that’s just absolutely absurd that screenshooting is so complicated for no logical reason and people suddenly get offended by a legitimate complaint. One thing you’d expect Linux just copied from it because it’s so fucking basic and makes sense it would be stupid not to. You know, shit Windows has done for 25 years and still works without any extra screenshot tools. I smash PrtScr and go into GIMP and click Paste. Just to get stuck at the “doing screenshot part”. So I wanted to screenshot the image and ask about it. Until I noticed “start menu” (Application Launcher) doesn’t act right and isn’t responsive when hovering with mouse over categories in certain part. For the first time in 20 years, a Linux distro that actually fucking works and I actually like it. I’ve installed Manjaro 21.1 few days ago.
